Lovely inn in Cape Charles! Innkeepers Carol and Bruce were extraordinary and their breakfasts were beautiful and delicious! Afternoon wine and cheese on the beautiful front porch was a special touch. Well appointed rooms with lovely antiques. Very relaxing stay that made us feel like we were family!
I have had a number of great B&B experiences, but this one tops them all! I called at the last minute during a snow storm from a house with a broken heat pump - they rolled out the red carpet for me, offered dinner and friendly conversation. The room was toasty warm with a lovely street view where I could watch the swirling snow against the street light. Beautiful place. Beautiful hosts.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Cape Charles House! Bruce and Carol were delightful hosts and made us feel right at home. Of course the food was absolutely amazing with stunning presentations and delightful flavors! Thanks so much for a relaxing weekend! Highly recommend the Cape Charles House!
Felt very welcomed by our hosts, delicious breakfast, comfortable bed, great place to stay! Would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend to anyone traveling through Cape Charles or the Eastern Shore.
This was my first B&B experience, and it was awesome. Carol and Bruce were great hosts, and enthusiastic about making sure you had a great time. Carol set us up with a map of the town with things to do, she even had the menus for all the restaurants. Cape Charles is a nice little town. Per carols recommendations we went to brown dog and got the best handmade ice cream I've ever had. We also did paddle your glass off; you kayak up to a winery and get a wine tasting along with a bottle of wine.It was a lot of fun! Carols breakfast was excellent, you won't find breakfast like that at a standard hotel. Carol and Bruce went out of their way to make our experience welcoming. At 5 they serve wine and cheese in silver trays that you can bring up to your room. Carol told us that she mixes herbs from her garden with the cheese and you can really tell. My boyfriend and I fought over that cheese it was so good. I highly recommend this place to anyone that may be new to the experience or slightly nervous about it. Carol and Bruce are heart-warming, and you will feel welcome. I can guarantee it. I would love to come back again, such a great experience!
